During a periodontal examination a small measuring probe is placed between your tooth and gum to evaluate your periodontal health. Current x-rays are viewed to observe the health of the bone below the gums.

Once your periodontal health status is evaluated we work with you to determine the treatment options most appropriate to bring you back to health.

Depending how far the disease has progressed treatment can vary widely. If caught in the early stages, simple procedures are done that will remove the plaque and calculus from below the gum line and eliminate the infection causing bacteria. If the disease has progressed to the point where the supporting bone is lost, further treatment may be needed In some cases advanced bone grafting techniques can be used to regenerate lost bone and strengthen the teeth.

We are committed to the success of our procedures and your comfort during your appointment. We utilize the most current technologies available to keep your treatment stress free and minimize discomfort. We offer sedation and use The Wand to gently numb your mouth.
